Definitions (the)

4 members of Angil & the Hiddentracks once recorded a night-time improvised session of theirs, featuring hammered pianos, looped saxophones, bullied guitars, and drunken turntables.

A few months passed. 2 of them then decided to use this recording as a basis to create lo-fi hip-hop, Kill the Vultures/Darkleaf style. Thus they added overdriven rhythms and babbled lyrics.

Though the Definitions sometimes make live appearances, each one is different from the others. Everything changes, including their line-up (occasionally starring hip-hop French guru Souljah’Zz) and the songs themselves. These seem to be growing both up and down (cf. Gilles Deleuze’s “Dialogues”).
