Fred, stemming from the punk hardcore scene, produces now an electronic music by mixing electronic tones and traditional instruments as well as a multitude of influences, and called it the electromelette. Thanks to Le Printemps de Bourges, an annual event for artistic newcomers, a promotional 3 titles CD, " On/Oeuf " is born, followed by the release of the EP vinyl Gobez l'uf on the French label Jarring Effects in September 2001. Two other EPs in 2002 follow A la coque (10 ") and Hop-la ( picture disc vinyl), and finally the first album 13 a la douzaine (Jarring Effects - Pias / Kubik) in 2003. In 2005, l'Oeuf Raide launches his second album, Dans le meme panier (Jarring Effects/Pias), much wiser than his first opus, between cinematic, abstract hip-hop and trip hop, the whole sprinkled with ethnic samples and jazz.

L'Oeuf Raide invites you to discover his third opus live: Are You Eggsperienced?, an even wider spectrum of musical experiments. If you think cinematic, there is some, if you think break, there is some, too...but there's also rap, trip hop, jungle and even rock. An explosive cocktail, that reminds you of those hard homemade liquors they drink in prohibition films.
L'Oeuf Raide turns himself into a musical handgrenade : take the pin out of it and it will eventually burst into pieces, like multi-flavored popcorn. The Hendrix reference is a not random choice here, it's rather a genuine laboratory experiment we have to deal with. All kind of Eggsperimentations, Eggsplorations in unknown fields and soundtracks for imaginary movies. You wont get unharmed through it. Like Alice turning to a woman, we walk through the mans psychedelic mirror. Be ready to throw yourself in this wild trip, in which you'll meet funk brassbands, jazz themes, Indus' drumkits, rock progressions and real rhythm n blues digressions... Der Fred = Le Fred = [löfräd] = L'Œuf Raide
Fred ist ein Spross der Hardcore Punk Szene (ehemals Sänger der Band Tong!). Heute produziert er vornehmlich als Einzelkind; eine musikalische Symbiose aus elektronischen Klängen und traditionellen Instrumenten, die eine große Vielfalt an Einflüssen verrät: das Electromelette!
Seine Legebatterie - das Festival Printemps de Bourges. Dort wurde er 2001 zur Découverte Electronique gekürt wurde. Der Titel trug ihm die Veröffentlichung von «On/Œuf» ein, woraufhin seine Maxi LP 45rpm «Gobez L'Œuf» im September 2001 vom Lyoner Label Jarring Effects herausgebracht wird. 2002 folgen zwei weitere Maxis « A la coque », (4 Titel, Maxi 10") und « Hop-là » (4 Titel, picture disc vinyl), und 2003 das erste Album «13 à la douzaine» (Jarring Effects). 2005 kommt L'Œuf Raide mit seinem zweiten Albums « Dans le même panier » ein wenig braver daher - eine Mischung aus Abstract HipHop, TripHop und kinematischen Elementen. Auch ohne Kenntnisse französischer Sprachgewandtheit ist die Referenz von L'Œuf Raides drittem, bisher aktuellstem Album unschwer zu erkennen: im November 2007 erschien « Are You Eggsperienced? » Experimenteller denn je, ohne sich von der melodisch-verspielten Basis abzuwenden.
Die harmonischen Klänge seiner Alben sollten nicht dazu verleiten, sich unvorbereitet in die Live-Sets von L'Œuf Raide zu begeben: wenn die HipHop Sounds einen noch in sanftem Groove wähnen, bereiten Electronica Parts den das Publikum auf ein Finale à la Jungle Breakbeat vor. Line-Ups und Bühnen teilt L'Œuf Raide mit Wax Tailor, Amon Tobin, Herbaliser, Bauchklang, DJ Food...
