Condkoï

The story in a nutshell : virulent hardcore punk quintet, renowned for their communicative energy and their unbridled performances, illustrated by 350 concerts everywhere in France, with 50 to 60 gigs a year. Creation in 1995 in Vendée. Migration in September 1999 toToulouse and Albi. Discography : first auto produced 6-trackMCD, "Arbhoud", in January 1998, followed by 2 albums : "L'Alboum" (Dialektik Rds) in December 2001 and "Evilution" (Skalopards Anonymes) in January 2003.

The furious Tarn-based guys are back with "Still Ready", an album pumped up with suffering, and their fourth record in eleven years of existence. The five-piece team offers 13 tracks of pure hardcore punk, tight as hell and full of rock hard mixes : cannonballs executed with overflowing energy, guitars nearly reaching sonic boom and two rough and bragging voices. Far from being a compact monolith, this ravaging hoo-ha is tempered by rather melodic choruses, unusual percussions for the genre and above all a good shot of humour, particularly vivid live (continuous fooling around and audience participation). The lyrics, equally written in French (one of the band's asset) and English, reflect this attitude between radicalism towards cops, racists and fascists, and laid back style, either utterly sharp minded or totally naive!

With "Still Ready", Condkoï stands out one more time as the spearhead of their scene, the real Missing Link between Burning Heads and Tagada Jones (the singer of which, Nico, features on "TV"). The pack also includes a live video bonus, faithful to the stage reputation of the band.
